It's well known that Romantik sets a high value on outstanding cuisine performances. Numerous decorations from independet restaurant guides make it evident. Every decoration is a confirmation - that is why we are happy about the first Michelin star for the restaurant of Romantik Hotel Stafler in Mauls (South Tyrol) and the mention as "Aufsteiger des Jahres 2009" (Rising Star 2009) in the Gault Millau for Joerg Glauben from the restaurant "Tschifflik" at the Romantik Hotel Landschloss Fasanerie in Zweibruecken.
Besides its outstanding cuisine the Guide Michelin points out the particular ambiance of the Restaurant Stafler - "fascinating, elegant and typical for the region". Ancient Tyrolean recipes, mediterranean lifestyle and South Tyrolean products are combined in the creations of head chef Peter Girtler and his team and turn them into extraordinary refined dishes.
"His cuisine is not mainstream, he does not have any fear of contact with international modern cuisine and is not afraid of experiments nor innovation." - this is how the Gault Millau describes the culinary achievement of Joerg Glauben. The testers have chosen the head chef from Zweibruecken among the 37 best chefs in Germany.
Besides these two special decorations, the Romantik chefs received a lot of praise from the different restaurant guides.
